Be on the look-out for more fun Mahjong lessons in The Green Room hosted by Anne Ruder and Caroline Riley of Holy Mahj. These two are known to have a blast while building the Charleston Mahjong community one tile at a time! Lessons are 2 hours long, offering guided play or full instruction for beginners. All mats, tiles, racks, cards and tables/chairs are set up for you upon arrival. We even have wine and cheese!
Shop Girls Brunch
With so many amazing women on our team at Maker’s Post, we couldn’t help but to celebrate for ourselves! Last Spring, we hosted a “Shop Girls Brunch” for 3 ladies who each celebrated a new-born, a pregnancy announcement and a wedding! The Green Room came alive with flowers from Sea Green Farm, catering by Chef Maya Morrill and newly released artwork by Nathan McClements.
Smithey x Fish Camp Cook Out
Local artisan, Smithey Ironware teamed up with our lovely neighbor, Chef Nick from Sullivan’s Fish Camp for a night under the stars on the back patio of The Green Room. Nick prepared a seafood paella, baked oysters with roasted brussels and potatoes over an open flame on the iconic handmade cast iron products made right here in Charleston by Smithey. Guests ate, drank and enjoyed the cooking demonstration for what we call a perfect fall evening!
Yoga & Meditation Workshop
Yoga in The Green Room! What could be better than surrounding yourself with plants, fresh air and good vibes while centering your nervous system and practicing your breathwork?! Hanna and Loes of Ryme taught a yoga & meditation workshop with a lovely brunch served afterward to round out the most balanced Sunday morning.
Local Maker Pop-Up
Kevin Tillis, a local entrepreneur in the world of fashion, launched a new line for Kennedy Gray clothing with a celebratory Pop-Up Shop in The Green Room. Plenty of fun was had – even local artist, Nathan McClements brought an element of color to the collection with a collaborative art piece coined for KG!
